if not now maybe never.

in need for unity,
trying to forget animosity.
in need for comradeship
and love beyond friendship-
in the land of a billions,
the land which showed resilience-
to the empire which never set.
the land which did not rest
now has forgotten what is the best.
we are in search of a leader,
who is not a wager –
who will not gamble
with our preamble.
we built our land
with sweat in our hand,
now we fight our kind,
we have almost lost our mind,
we are in search of a leader,
who is a peace-maker.
all we ask for is one among
all in the throng
to rise and fight
be wise and protect our right.
we all are looking-searching
for one human being.
unity is something we never won,
though we import petrol-a million ton.
brotherhood is something bubble,
the US is ready to give us missile.
language has become our barrier,
KFC and Mc have hit our carrier.
we all are ready to pick a side,
we slaughter animals for their hide.
to ourselves we have lied,
chevy and ford have become our ride.
there are many filthy rich,
poor earn selling fish.
few indulge in champagne
others end up in political campaign.
we have left no one,
soon there shall be no son,
one-who will call this land home,
we all will then be left to moan.
brands have become world wide,
we will have no place to hide,
guns and barriers forged again,
everyone will have nothing but pain,
our homes will all be boo-thank you nuke,
if you have survived it is by fluke,
music will never be the same again,
we all will wonder why this bane-
on the brink of sanity,
unless we forget enimity,
we all shall die,
before we know why.
all we need is unity,
and we need a personality,
why not you ,
why not me,
are we to afraid
and counting fate?
this can be the last sing-song,
very few have done wrong,
there are lots with cloths torn,
while others have borne,
what a few have thrown.
We need a unity,
forget your eccentricity,
we have in our blood,
one common mud.
together we can rise and defend,
it maybe our last chance to mend.
words of great wisdom n truth…
@keshi:thanks 🙂 LOL 😛
I can see and read this so much better! I like this format.
As far as leaders go, make sure you don’t end up with George, who will be out of a job here in another year – kind of a “loose nuke” I suppose…
“Keshi” and “Vishesh” is very catchy…
We don’t need a leader Vishesh, nor we need any inspiration. we have to change ourselves. Change comes from within.
@paul: lol…ya i wll make sure, i don’t 🙂
@rauf: and the change needs to start some where ..
unity…I agree with rauf that change starts from within, but I also feel it important to be around other people of like mind to nurture & share those important changes. Introspection is good but it’s those that involve themselves in doing that furthers causes that make changes for us all.
Leaders are an important element as you point out in your poem. A good leader inspires & encourages. A good leader articulates the cause to others & shows how goals can be achieved. A good leader has to be willing to devote their own self interests, time, & resources into the cause.
I believe the very best & fulfilling life is one spent promoting human dignity, peace & unity for all mankind.
Keep it up! You are off to a good start.
BTW, I also like this forum. it is easier to read
i agree with rauf that change starts from within. But I also believe that it takes people dedicated to furthering a cause to affect changes that will make a difference & promote unity.
I also feel good leaders are an important element. A good leader inspires & encourages. A good leader articulates the cause to others. A good leader is willing to put their own self interests , time & resources into promoting the cause they feel so passionate about.
A life promoting unity & human dignity could only be edifying to oneself. This is a sacrifice worth making.
Keep it up!
do you have comment moderation? I don’t know if my comments are making it? I made the same one twice could you make sure only one gets printed?
brain is the best place to start
Hi, just visiting since you posted your blog on Rauf’s site. You are a slammer! Do you read your poetry aloud in cafes like we do here?
@hmmm….whose brain…everyones?something needs to make the brain realise…and that factor is the leader….
