IT IS OVER, FINALLY!! & to wordpress.org now?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

And I am back 🙂 Yes, so finally my exams got over.

Now I have lots to look forward to. 🙂

But well am not going to celebrate too much(at least not yet).

Well,  before I get to writing again(damn tired right now after the exam, today), I want to know-  I am planning to move to wordpress.org(yes going to buy hosting space), is it worth it?

P.S:- This probably will be the shortest post in a long time to come…. 😛

confused? crazy? :|

Well I  seem to be getting confused about a lot of things of late. One moment of inspiration seems to have caused new twists and turns inside my head and am trying to sort them out.

There is nothing fun about this. Usually when I get confused, I look for sense, by defining myself in new “ways”(and discover something new about myself). But some how this time, I seem to be looking for a discovery, which means, for sure, that I am over looking something(discoveries are always accidental, I guess).

I wrote about four drafts, but felt they weren’t worth publishing(still trying to figure out why), but at least they are there, saved as drafts, four among scores. I guess sometimes it is better to be candid, but then when you are confused about what you want to be candid about, then you are seriously confused(like this sentence?).

And all this confusion is driving me crazy. Messaging random people on friends’ mobile(using their mobiles 😛 ), inventing new words(and found out that people are stupid enough to buy it :P), well at least a word- folligo(what does it mean?), arguing about anything and everything, telling everyone I need a girl friend/ I am in love with someone(go figure :P), hating everything and then thinking about it and deciding I don’t hate it after all etc.

Well I can tell you all one thing- be careful of this bug. It will make you feel horrendously low at one moment and the next  moment, you will be on top of the world. It’s fun for a while, but this too irritating(more for my friends than me I guess 😛 ). Well I am thankful that people around me can handle this madness, they surely deserve an ode(did I tell you, I had the sudden whim, to write a new play and claim it is a rare work of Shakespeare? ).

But odes can wait, till my sanity is analysed by my saner side and it decides to confront this new bug with hard-hitting questions and definitive answers(my saner side is still on a holiday, I guess). But one thing is for sure, I am not an odd one out, many seem to be affected by it, maybe they can control the bug and let it have its say whenever they see it fit, but since usually the mean(the mathematical thing) escapes me and the extremes haunt me, I need to decide about this bug, i.e. if I should keep it or kill it .

And when have you seen me write posts like this? This sums it up, I guess. Or maybe it is just the effect of reading Rushdie. Ha well. Anyway, before you run away, thanks to the bug, since I am too lazy to choose photos(783 in all, so 😛 ) , here is how I welcomed new year 😛

So I got my driving licence, yay! Of course, getting one is no big deal, except that you are made to wait for ever, let us not go into that.  ” No one cares and has time, you and me are going to talk about, I might write about it, but there it ends”, That was my reply to others like me who were waiting for their licence

. We Indians have refined the art of corruption and bribing. There exists a corruption hierarchy, which apart from the officials includes the driving school people among other. Forget Shaktimaan and Captain Planet, we need a Anti-corruption Man (AC man).

And talking about super heros , I have plans of hosting a blogging contest on super heros/ super stars. You are to create your own super hero/ star , complete with powers etc, what do you think?

In solidarity with the cows; Apparently we love to get offended. Remember how people took offence , when “SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE” came out? I bet half the people didn’t watch the movie and I know it is a safe bet because many still feel that the “west” is calling us Slum Dogs, pity. And in this case of the austere Cows(though, they do get their horns painted once a year, during Maatu(cow) Pongal), we should be proud that our herd now includes all the Congress Ministers(and the extra guards).

Navarathri has begun. My mom and sis have come up with a creative gift this time(will put up photos soon) 🙂 There is nothing special for me though, no holidays, even if college gives us off(even if they don’t I bunk, cut about 10 hours last week), I have those CA classes everyday morning. Its been days since I got to read the book(Argumentative India) , it is an amazing book, I am lovi’ it but no time to read.

Went to McDonald’s yesterday and again today. It’s on the way to the place where I went for the rehearsals . The Aloo Tikki Burger tastes really good. The violin rehearsals are bad though. So bad that, even the lazy me , had to prompt for more practice. Playing all the songs once over  is not rehearsal.

I manage to update my poetry blog(yes, I am talking about it again, vanity indeed) about once or twice a week. I want to write 3 posts a week (at least over here), but then my schedule is so irritating , that I feel too sleepy to write about anything. There was a time, when I wrote about 60 posts a month, now I am not able to do 6. But being me, you can expect to writing pretty soon.

And I have to start studying as well. It’s freaky, to see all those weird sums. CA is no joke. You do to be really fast and see beyond the obvious. Lets see what happens. One thing is for sure, I am not going to get to sleep *sigh.

Between , check out this video, awesome, no clue, how he(Jascha Heifetz) does it. I want to learn western one of these days. I love the way, how the music travels and tells its tale without words.

I got a new phone-Nokia 5800. Its got 8GB memory and I have already loaded about 4.2GB of songs. Got lots more in my Comp, but I want to try out new stuff, especially something without lyrics, what would you suggest?

There are many things which I want to write about, the ideas do come and go, but arranging them is the problem. And writing is tough if you are tired-words do come out, they get stuck. There are moments when I wish, I can sit down and write forever..*how I wish..*

Among other things, I think I will be writing about something I have observed- though we talk about equality , a new stratification has started to form in our world, I do wonder, how many of us realize this. I do wonder where this will lead.

The last photo was taken at Mocha. Yes, I almost got choked. Spent 25% of the time closing my nose, another 25% taking photos and the rest talking/trying to breath. But the shot is worth the effort(I guess) 😛 Anyway, hope I find time to post this week. Will try to record the violin programme.

HA if only I was that innovative 😛 The maximum I have done till date is to assemble a project in under 15 mins( took print outs of the material and pics , told people to bring charts , sketches etc and assembled in school 😛 – I do miss those things 😦 )

Krishna nee begane – Colonial Cousins

The other day I went to a drama called chocolate Krishna by ‘Crazy’ Mohan ( his troupe is one of the most famous here) . And in the drama , a snippet of this song was played . And bingo like any good old 21st century city kid , came back and youtubed the song . I know we had this song cassette when I was about 6 or 7 as I remember losing it in the tourist taxi while returning from Thirupati after my upanayanam(the sacred thread ceremony , the name is right , right?) ..

So now that I am out of my lazy phase(ya too laxy to copy and paste a link) here is the song..

Destionation Infinity  has tagged me! The tag’s name is “Slow Melodious and Soulful Songs“.

Music is a form of expression. And to us the work of an artist is a way to relate to the ultimatum within us. Now the problem with this tag is,I do not know how I would be able to stop myself once I have began.

From M.S.Subhalakshmi to Pink Floyd and ARR to Metallica,I love so many songs.And add to that the classical wizards of symphonies and suits and an  opus ordinates intself of an extremely high allegro! 

But let me start with Tamil songs,as DI asked me to do 🙂 Though tamil is my mother tongue,one major problem is that now days the tamil me and my friends speak,has a lot of English,in fact I can talk tamil only with a few people,to others I switch back to english after a sentence.but luckily for me I can ask my grand parents and parents the meaning of words.

A visit to Chennai sangamam

First of all,Thank you all for your support.I have opened a question in the wordpress Forum here. Thanks all of you who have commented in that fellow’s blog.

Since today is Pongal,I want to write something good.Yesterday night,I went to the Chennai Sangamam. It aims to bring folk art in Tamil Nadu,to the limelight.

Yesterday all roads lead to Venkatanarayana Road,a key road in the city.The traffic was diverted and the artists took to the street.It got to see Poikal Goodurai,Fire blowers,Seelamatham,gymnastics and a lot of other dances.I also had dinner there-Kothu barotha and veg koorma.Five star hotels have set up stalls too,but by the time we made it to them,they were out of stock.

My camera is broken,so had to make do with my 2 MP,no flash,mobile camera.I managed to take a couple of videos as well.So here are the pics and slideshows.For more about this sangamam,see their site- http://www.chennaisangamam.com/

Sambar magic(the tale of thondiraja)-part 3!(spoof)

And the voice on the other end,chirped,”yeeeeyaaa!Thondi raja!You have been selceted to perform in the Thondi Idol!”.The king,went ablaze,he jumped and he danced and started to sing,” Oh,want to have a thondi just  like this? Just eat all you have…oh! want to have a thondi just like this…”,The old man with the beard,gave a “I told you so” smile,whitened,by a secret formula,approved by the shamen and the head priest of thondi.

The king replied to the voice,”Sure,I am honoured and since I sent away our star singer,Himesh,there is no competition for me,though there is this blogger called Vimal,ha did he qualify?”.

“Yes he did and we would be honoured,if you as the king do the thondi dance,to the song,”thondis don’t lie” “.

Even more delighted,”wow,now I need a partner..,when is it? “.And replied the voice ,all earnest and young ” You have plenty of time,oh!the world record holder for eating the most number of bhadushas(bhadushas are Indian donout,though it should be the other way about.),to put on some weight and get ready for the dance.All the best your highness,TC.”

 

As the call ended,the king turned around and thanked the smiling man with the beard.The man with the beard responded,” This is the secret of  Bush to get elected for the second term,the secret of Paris Hilton,to be so slim and Tony Blair,to lie so much and oh! your highness,this will always keep you fat! You are indeed the pride of thondi! Now I think you should go back,take a pack of Sambar with you.

“I will  also teach you the code to return here,but remember this is not web 2.0,no twitter,no stumble,no orkut,no facebook,just keep it to yourself,keep saying it until,you know it like the moves of your favorite heroine or like a kid who watched DD in the 90s,knows the dialogues of Mahabaratha and Ramayana”.

“OH! my fine old man,I understand.I will not give it to anyway,least of all NTTV and I will keep the travelling charges out of my books ,my accountant doesn’t know accounts anyway,he learned the trade at PWC and gets a hefty salary,anyway he is busy, he is appearing as a market analyst in one of those channels called NTTV Loss.And some how,the KTIAA(Kingdom of Thondi Accountants Association) don’t know what to do with him.I could have him thrown to the lions,but unfortunately,the lions,seem to be influenced by our Health minister,maybe,I should make the Rambodoc,from the wonderful blogging world,as the health minsiter.”

And as they came out of the forest,a guard came running,” Breaking news oh! king,Sathyam boss,just quit.It seems he had doctored the books.”

 “Ha,you fine young man”,the king patted the man on his shoulder,”it is late news,if you want the full story,start blogging,as it is ,you don’t do any work,except,taking bribes from the beggars,to keep the big guards away.I tell you go,I will give you some money,eat ,get a thondi,don’t cheat and read blogs all day long.Otherwise,I will soon start being the “sources within” for the NEWS channels.”

“Oh!king,I am sorry,no,I do blog,but the feeds arrived a little late.Rather I was watching videos on youtube and forgot all about blogging.”

“Ha ,I am feeling hungry,run along”. The king turned to the minsiter who had arrived.”What happened to the Israel bombings?” 

The minister hesitated and confessed,”My brain was struck!”.

The king laughed out loud and beamed,” LOL,now that is a good minister.What a country,no wonder,we have pertol workers going on a strike etc.If we have such wonderful ministers!Now,you are going to get stuck,I am going to send you to the rehab,no comupters for five months.And remember to shave your hair.Of course we will give you a chalk.”

And so the king walked along,majestic as always.He took out his PDA(again gifted).And grunted,”Ha,this Microsoft,it is always getting hung.I thought they didn’t have capital punishments.”And at that moment,an apple,feel from the sky..
