Hi. (a post after 20 days!)

Listen to this while you read 🙂

My last noteworthy post was 20 days ago. And I blame it on Twitter(not entirely). Not that tweets compensate for writing, but when you read a lot of interesting stuff, you end up thinking and end of the day, you don’t know what to write about.

Actually that is not true, it has got more to do with my exams. So another 20 days or so to go, before I write my CA-IPCC(inter) exam. And contrary to common perception, I am not all that tensed. I generally don’t get tensed over exams, because they are certain. You get tensed only when things are uncertain. Of course, you can’t be certain of the result, but well results come after a couple of months and if you have done horribly, you can be prepared for the worse 😛

It is not laziness either, just that whenever I decide to write, I wonder why I want to write about myself. Not that there isn’t enough happening out there, but to write about other things, you need put a lot of thought to the given topic and then type a concise(me, concise?) and engaging post.

I wanted to write about the Tharoor vs Modi case, but then I tweeted enough I guess and besides writing a brilliant piece saying whatever I want to say, isn’t going to change anything, no, it isn’t going to get me additional readers either(I hate it when I sound so pessimistic, actually, that I am not pessimistic, just that I don’t want to start blogging in full swing, again, till my exams are over).

Notice, how I have eaten over 250 words, without saying anything worthwhile? I can be witty, you know. But then again wit is a waste of time, when not many get what I say(lack of wave length I say!). Or maybe I am not witty, just vetti.

Anyway, I think it is time for the Great LOL challenge again(yes, a year has passed and your sense of humour has gotten better, I hope), any volunteers to help me?(includes chatting with me and exchanging mails, lot at that..I can be quite a nag, you are warned).

The great LOL challenge – update 3

Thank you for participating in the great LOL challenge 😀 Frankly I didn’t expect this kind of response but thanks to Indyeah (the smiley lady) the response has been something which has put a huge smile upon my face . I presonally have had a great time reading all the posts 🙂 I can surely say it is has been a great success . 

Now the hardest part begins for us . We need to categorize and choose posts for the poll . So while we take the next couple of days(okay , I am a bad liar , lets say it might take anywhere close to 100-150 hours 😆 ) to do all that , there will be a final category for nominations , THE JESTER OF BLOGOSPHERE .  

You can nominate the blog of your choice for this category in the comment section of this post (the comments in the other post is closed) . Oh! well lets make this interesting , the winning  jester will have to do a special show ‘ post ‘ on the topic given by the voters (LOL 😛 want to nominate yourself ? 😉 .

The great LOL challenge – update 2

First of all thanks for the great response everyone! Second of all sorry for disappearing , went on an unplanned ‘holiday’ for the last couple of days(and needed that too! 😀 ) So now back with my batteries recharged (and ready to be humoured 😆 ) .

So back to business , seeing the amount of entries we have decided now to extend the deadline to Monday (18th) 21:00 hrs ISD . So all those of you who have been busy/lasy to submit your entires , get going now 😀 

And since by tomorrow by this time our country will have a new P.M. , we are going to allow all those with political wit to have their say ( make sure it is good taste though ) . The only condition on this being , that no old posts are allowed for this ( as I am sure all of you will be writing about it anyway 😉  ) .

The great LOL challenge

Well now that the smiley lady is back , we have decided to lauch the blog-o-sphere’s first LOL (laugh out loud) challenge  🙂 .

So it is time for all you cartoonists , writers , video makers or well anyone  , who has taken to blogging to come out with your best and for the next two weeks make everyone laugh their heads out . After the two weeks we will have a poll to decide who is the best jester around (if we get enough entries , we might even have category wise polling ) .

1) The jokes should be clean , i.e. No dirty jokes ,no Adult jokes . 

2) Try to make share/make jokes which won’t hurt anyone . Use your sense and judgement .

Sometimes you just smile,

And there nothing can hide .

Sometimes you just see 

And the sight sets you free .

 

He lay on his bed wondering what is going on around him . Sometimes things just seem too good to be real . Having his phone buzzing , people wanting to talk to him made him feel happy . But some how , he couldn’t stop looking at where he was all those years back . Time is a funny thing . As you grow older , you keep changing . Things which mattered to you a while back don’t . You see your self in the mirror and try to think back ,what you felt when you saw into it a few months back . You smile at how you felt .

He smiled . But some how he couldn’t accept certain things . He wished this was not a dream . Funny how for a person who kept living in his dreams , he wished this was not a dream . What people never understand is that , what is just a remark by a stranger for someone might mean the world to others and that it can hurt . Yet if you ever spoke about how certain things affected you , people become sarcastic and pass more comments . But by now you have learnt so wouldn’t really care about any of it .

Pain seems a burden when it is physical but it is torture when it is mental . He smiled into the mirror again . Ha made a few funny faces at himself and laughed . He turned and jumped about as if he was a kid . That is what is fun , trying to connect to things by trying to feel the world within . The passion with which you try to understand things around you . The innocent tenacity . He started to sing . It didn’t matter to him , that he was a horrible singer , he just enjoyed doing it .

All though time might catch up soon , he knew he could always play with himself , the child within him .It doesn’t matter what walls are erected , it doesn’t matter what they are made up of . What does matter is the fact that you know you can bring them down when you want to ,not because you have to but because you want to…It was half past eight , he left for the party with a big smile.

On the fast lane

The road rushes by as we travel.All of us have asked the question,”are we traveling too fast? ”

So what do think? Are we moving too fast?

I think that this is normal.We are moving faster and faster because we are supposed to do so.Someday there will be a stop and we are going faster to it.Maybe this is nature’s way of saving itself from humans.We humans call ourselves special even though we too are a part of nature.Now that with our intelligence we have found out we are heading towards doom faster,what are we going to do?What will it take to get rid of us-tsunami,earthquake ,cyclones,heat waves,cold waves,drought,flood….? What can we do to stop our destruction?Will we ever realize that we needn’t cling to our lives ?Will we realize that survival isn’t everything,living.I know we all will but will it be too late?

Will our haste,make us into waste?Is it time to slow down,if yes how can we?

Door mats and handkerchiefs who serve humanity

Do we really need to care? What is the use of caring for others anyway? I mean what do i gain? All i ever get by belonging to society is security.For if i didn’t give a damn to things around me,my existence will not be noticed,even if it is,i will be a door mat for people to leave the dirt on.Not that caring gives you anything better,it only makes people see you as a handkerchief rather a door mat.

So what are you a door mat or a handkerchief?

If you are a door mat,you live life in a ‘why should i care?’ delirium always freaking out and just snubbing people and not giving a thought to the fact that the pathetic creature which is facing you has something called “sense” and that you might be hurting it.Now i cannot call these really door mats,for they are made of expensive things,but they still are door mats.All people do at the sight of these is smile,smile and smile,for they cannot do anything else.For they can’t afford to do anything else,they can’t buy them and walk on them and trash them.Their real door mat identity takes the dirt only when they leave.You see once the brand name goes,there is no difference between a Tommy and a road side Tee.People will swear and tear these door mats,even if they don’t feel it then and there.They will feel the rag and rubbish they have taken,someday when they have their faces against the society,stripped and raw and ready to get rubbished.We have another variety of door mats,the not so lucky door mats.These door mats get away with a few things.They all don’t care alright,but then they aren’t all that expensive.So while a few might admire them and their ‘cool’ attitude,dirty shoes are soon bound to stamp them and flatten them.

Then you have the absolute door mats.These require a little more space.Some washing and drying out in the sun will do them good.They have taken the society’s rubbish.In fact for generations they have been taking rubbish.They aren’t door mats because they chose to be,but because the society made them to be.They are door mats because rubbish gives them life,it gives them food.Who has time to care about others when you don’t have food? Not that i have faced this,but then ,even if i skip as meal (a meal and meal only), i become extremely frustrated and cranky. Now to think they have been hungry for generations,naturally they are not going to care.Why what is electricity to them and what are planes to them? These door mats are not happy at being door mats,but then who can help them? For after all they don’t care,neither for the world nor for themselves.We already have enough door mats don’t we?

Then the handkerchiefs.Ha,so you are one? Now while the door mats just take the dirt,handkerchiefs take a heavier load.They take the mucus,the sweat,the tears,the emotions ,the dirt etc.These things get washed more regularily that is the only difference.They get a larger variety of rubbish from within and outside a person.Why all they decided was that to be more kind and empathize , sympathize , care and love.Now surely they deserve better? But no ,all they get are loads and loads and loads of unwanted things.They are supposed to solve all problems.School students make them into soft balls for playing,people sneeze ,people cough,people sweat and a few just carry them around.these things fill into any shoe.For they are scared they will become door mats.They are happy that they live in the pockets and hands of humanity rather than the foot.They are at a higher level,that is all.They suffer for they care.

So if you are either a door mat or a handkerchief you suffer,for the dirt of humanity.Humans sure do pollute a lot.Both door mats and kerchiefs serve their purpose.Now if ever we are going to make humans pollute less,then the door mats and kerchiefs better stop talking their load of dirt.If they do,humans will have to clean up on their own.Who knows,being a lazy race,they might stop being so dirty and see that dirt is not needed.After all they do believe in ‘perfection’ and dirt never reflects cleanliness and perfection does it? Now when you do stop working all you door mats and kerchiefs what will you do?After all you need to engage yourselves into something right? I have an idea,try maintaining your perfection,make your homes more clean and green and well for your food,now that you don’t need to take dirt,take food-fresh,clean and cooked by mother nature.
