Of the nation!for the nation?by the nation?

Well yes,i am going write something again.The big village or the global village,is in big trouble.Unfortunately,there are no captain planets here,to do something about it.Ha ya,Captain planet,i remember him,he is an hero,evil things(?) bring down to zero,he is the power….It is something like that na.But then,we need someone don’t we.And what all most of us have got in common?-fingers,yes,really good looking fingers,which can be pointed at others,no it wasn’t me,it was you.Simple,isn’t it?Or well even simpler,there is the middle finger!Wow! 

Why should I care,anyway? Everyone is writing,about a nun who was raped in Orissa.And yes,together,all of have damned it,said that we all are ashamed etc etc.Hmm,great,Hindus ,we are, right? And well those people ,well if we call those things,people,then what are we? It should be either them or ‘us’ who are people.Who should be called people and what should the rest be called? I leave that to you.I can’t find a word for such creatures,who above all,in my eyes,are trying to destroy the very thing they think the represent.Creature is a word,but then creatures are maybe up of some stuff,which makes them realize their value,these things,don’t know their own value.It has come to a stage,where i don’t feel angry any more,why waste my anger on these things?

The government pointed finger at the center and the center at the government and we the citizens,pointed fingers at those who committed the crime and then at the government.And we all wrote and thought and told our neighbours how we feel bad about the whole thing.We then realized all our houses have enough doors and safety latches,and unless,we are going to do a nuke test tomorrow and the Americans decide to invade(their,economy is in trouble!Come on,we know Uncle Bush don’t we? Of course it is going to be Obama,but then,what is the UN for? ) ,we all are safe.We don’t need to worry about our money,our leaders are very good,they rob us,by just taxing us,they don’t try to concentrate wealth,by doing bailouts!And besides,in our country corruption runs in the blood and well stands on the rivers too,patta land,on dry river beds,anyone?

I feel bad,really bad,for those who were affected by the attacks,i vaguely remember reading somewhere,about witch hunts in Europe long ago,guess,someone has been reading some  history,and well bollywood might have had an influence too ,you know,with raping and all,only thing those people get paid and these people don’t get paid.And ya,talking about bollywood,influence,how about kids in primary school using words such as FUCK and taking about sex etc? No i am not talking about censorship,at least someone tell them things properly!

And oh! where are the police,i mean the moral police? (we all know where the police,don’t we? ) Where are they,come on tell them to get out into the streets and correct these people! Come on you are the ones who claim ,we need to preserve our culture right? Or are these people really saving our culture? Great isn’t it? Oh!Krishna,Rama,govinda,and all the sundry Gods, let us call them,shall we?Let us ask them.the reason why we need to ask them,is because we don’t understand what they said,it was too complicated.It doesn’t matter whether we need sex education or not,now that we have the news channels to show us,we need to have sense education,you know just tell those,idiots,that they are contradicting themselves too much.And oh!in between maybe we should get those great leaders,behind Bajrang Dal or Vishwa Hindu Parishad,to promote the use of condoms,at least,the government can save some money,on the advertisements.But i guess,then that money too would be sent to their Swiss banks accounts,who knows.

Well all is not bad,in the country as of today.The Tata’s pulled out of Bengal,now the lady behind this has supposedly had a victory ,might be the state governments told her to do it,you know,it would show the poor infrastructure,if the Nano comes,but then,don’t they see that they can make more money? More bridges will be needed and they all would get their cut.

And what is at the base of all these problems in the country? Justice is lacking,hmm…oh! of course our judiciary! Oh,my I remember reading so much of it,in school! Isn’t our constitution the third classic we have given to the world? And maybe that is the reason most people don’t know the law,who has time for classics? Maybe you can make a movie out of it!It has it all,who would you like to see acting in the movie? 

And before I end all this,Shouldn’t we do something about all this? We all are writing and writing and we might make a new classic out of what we bloggers have written i guess,but then we should do something! If each and everyone of us,can just say a big NO,collectively,can’t we get more and more people to join us and actually get some kind of order ? Why should we keep quite? They get the media,they get the cameras,but we have a voice,too,we are not nobodies,why can’t we stand firm and show them,that they are destroying our country!Can’t we do this much for ourselves? We all see a grim picture when we think about the future,then why aren’t we ready to change it all! We got our freedom(?) at midnight,now the night is over,it is day ,so wake up and do it for yourself and your future.

Nationalism-peace and destruction,contest-poll

Well It is been more than 10 days since ,so well here are the three entries:-

1) Cinnmint

I n Dependance
If there is a lot to think before I take the road,

If there is a million times to worry before the flight I board,

Is that a problem with I or dependance?

Is I and dependance bonded to life,

like twins to part with death?

Is hoping and wishing and freedom to feel

Got to do with the country I live?

Are thoughts bounded by the borders of questioning,

Or will it be different if I were on the other side of the pacific?

If the grass is green everywhere?

Should I worry about the shade or worry if there’s enough to cover the land at all?

If every switch steals a bit of the world that I make,

And every click is about the info to take and break,

If every time I blink there’s one more tear at stake,

Will I ever be free to breath, feel, touch and dream.

Is this the freedom I celebrate?

NATIONALISM AND PEACE/DESTRUCTION

Nationalism- the feeling of being a member of a nation, a feeling that can be deemed either patriotic or fanatic, depending on the extent to which the feeling degrades your ability to be sensible in making decisions on issues that may or may not directly concern the “Individual”. My doubt however is, why in the first place, did a need for such a feeling, such a sentiment arise? To usher in harmony and peace in a piece of land demarcated by boundaries drawn out of language, culture, traditions, lifestyles, food habits etc which in turn led to intolerance, disrespect and the urge to suppress the people of other “Kind” ? Was it to bring in peace or ring in bells of destruction of humanity as we understand it?
Lets see..
Why did I feel the need to live in a society? I feel, I cannot survive on my own? No. I feel, I will have a more comfortable life if I depend on other people? Yes. Am I really open to other people depending on me? Well, maybe, but I would prefer to set some filters first which will help me in short listing those whom I would like, rather those whom I would not mind helping(mind you, I am not putting any filters on receiving help.). Fine, the conditions are worked upon and accepted by a group who later go on to make a society and in the larger picture a nation. Now, peace and harmony prevail in my nation and so does humanity and kindness. I happy or am I?
There is something else that I see with the people of other nations and I want it (here I has now become a “We”, we standing for a nation), but at the same time I am not ready to relax my filters. Do I forget about it? No. Why? Because I cannot survive without having them? No. Because I am greedy for anything and everything that grants me a better life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually? YES. Thus, what do I have my hands filled with? Wars, death and destruction, inhumanity and cruelty, abuse of basic human rights! In all of this we still manage to maintain a fair amount of peace within our nation!
What’s my conclusion? Should we have nations in the world? Yes. We should encourage the feeling of nationalism? Yes. Why? To maintain peace and harmony only in that piece of land? Absolutely yes! Should I have that selfish eye on what other nations have that I don’t? No. Do I have it? Yes. Do I restrain myself? No. Because I want the best for myself? Yes. Is it wrong??? No (here I have turned into a fanatic, but then can anyone define a universally accepted line as a demarcation between nationalism and fanatic nationalism??). Why not? My motherland is the greatest! Here’s where any rational man would drop his guns, because he will not be able to convince me that I am wrong.

So the million dollar question is, “what did my nationalism give me?” Peace or destruction?

Globalism and Peace/Destruction

There has been a rush of people to Mars. Especially after the glaciers have been melted, especially after the wild animals have become extinct, especially after the global warming has taken its best toll, especially after the terrorism looming large over a huge part of the earth, especially after the forests are fading away and only the concrete jungles are remaining, especially after the ozone hole has become all-pervasive, especially after the people have lost sense of all morals and only the consumers remain!

Unlike Earth, Mars has been a more planned township. They maintain huge closed city complexes that are self sufficent. They are covered in all the sides and the whether and temperature can be changed according to the requirement of the locality. The forests are mandatory in every city. Greenery and gardens occupy about 70% of each township. Everyone has their own roof top gardens too. After years of patience, technology and climate-conditioning, they have now started growing unlimited natural water! This was the main break through of the martian community of humans. Then came the patient and determined growth of forests. Though it took time to grow the vegetation and import a variety of natural animals aided by the bio and zuo technological advances, the improvement is visible. The security – The last but the most important aspect of a long sustaining society. This is where the martians have had a huge edge over us, earthlings. All the members wishing to migrate to Mars have a compulsary DNA verification and character analysis by the most modern technology available till date. To add to all that there is a huge nano-tech security also present in all town ship – starting from embedded traceable sensors in each martian, instant live feed from cameras and what not. Needless to say, there have been very less ‘incidents’ till date, which is ofcourse slowly increasing every year. All to-gether excellent living conditions – atleast for now.

The most ironic thing is, they had to build so much from scratch in Mars, which the earthlings before a hundred years were able to enjoy right here but took it for granted. The interest of the nation was always put before the interest of humanity and international peace. If only they had co-operated and lived peacefully without exploiting each other, all this destruction could have been avoided.

61 years have gone by

sixty one years gone by-
an year older at midnight,
as a nation,one step forward,
as a nation,we fought our way-
out of depression and suppression.
Another year just flew by,
the year’s wealth and health
is now embedded for the future,
and will be carried by time and tide.
A country of immense knowledge
and a country of saying and adage-
People of action fight and live;
war,hunger,religion,caste,region-still,
the breath of nation is it’s people’s will.
The vast lands,might have been parched,
the rivers might have run dried,
the “development” might have killed
the needed balance,to sustain development,
but we can still replant ,with our determination.
The past’s glory and a vibrant culture,
the back bones which makes our state better.
To the world we now give,
and to the world we no more are darkness.
factories and roads compete,
and our businesses reap.
sixty one years of freedom,
which has been fueled by martyrdom
and the ancient wisdom.

Yet a new need has risen,
when we the people,
have to join hands,
to unite and face ourselves,
for the time has come,
when those elected by the people,
exploit the people.Time has come
to reach out and destroy
all that is not needed and imbibe,
the good of the past and the better
of the present,for the sake of the future.
The time has come to light
the lamp,of passion and inspiration.
Until everyone does his or her bit,
until we stop war and shake hands and sit,
we will again again go down the pit.
We need to be untied,
as a people and as a nation,
not just for the country,
but for the sake of whole of humanity.
It might sound impossible,
for differences cause rebels-
so what?
let us live and let live
and forgive.to do that
first know your self
and learn to think and act
for yourself.
A nation is made of people,
and as the pillars of a nation,
we need to first indulge in contemplation,
once done,
our true progress will begin.
So let us join hands
and cause the change,
let us walk together,
to make our nation and world better.

tale of a land

movements rose,
the earth’s air
breathed cold.
the tales from the past,
once told with a lot of gusto,
now talked of twitter
heroes,who once rose,
to fill the world’s owes.
from rumble to rebel,
and then they tumbled
the opposing force,
they all did.

the scene perfectly lit,
the songs perfectly knit,
sowed the seeds of
rebellious wit ,
a nebulous plan
was draw,
one very few frowned upon.

the spirit was set,
though it seemed wet,
the time was perfect time.
the opponents were
sluggish it seemed,
the wishes to heaven
now bore it seemed
and their tenacious
fighting never lost fruit.

ken the lands,
ken the fields,
all battle perceived
and you will beseech
your wit to forgive
the unholy sight.
the land of the mighty,
which is still holy,
now lay stark with dead
thanks to people’s folly.

the minds rebelled,
the worlds trembled,
all in the name of peace-
one which will never be reached.
many weeped
as the demises increased-
all in the name of a struggle.
no one remained humble,
every one seeked the bubble,
the reputation troubled-
the huddle still flowed with the tide,
for the reputation
and the lands elevation,
to glorify themselves as a nation.
