Tagged!!!!

After what seems like an eternity, a tag has come my way at last! 😀 This one is from Nita 🙂 It is the wish list tag 🙂

I am debating whether I should do this one seriously or to do a fun one, but an amalgam should be better? 😛

1) Write, write and keep writing. And not just poetry, I want to try some fiction/ prose too. I have been planning to start writing books for long, have the stories in mind, but well, prose demands things which poetry doesn’t. And yes I have an idea for a drama script too. The idea, the substance everything clear, but then, exams in 5 months- ugh!

It is not just about getting published or something. For a while, I did think that trying to get published was a good goal, but then realized that it was quite futile. Every time I pick up the pen/sit in front of the screen to write, it is about me. It is a journey, into myself and that is what is important.

2) Act. I love acting. And I don’t mind playing parts which others might not be willing to do. I think this is something that every writer will like to do. When you can construct characters, you can play them as well. As I said, I want to write that script and hopefully I am able to do it 🙂

3)Studies:-

i)CA:-  That’s what I am doing right now. The course demands the use of your head, so it is not at all bad. Only thing though, I need to start studying more 😛

ii) Economics:- This is a subject which has always intrigued me. One reason might be that, the subject doesn’t demand much “studying” as such, it is based on understanding. After I finish CA I might be doing something related to economics(hopefully).

4) Societal goals:- I believe education is the key. Education as in everything and anything that helps nurture a person(In this respect, blogging I will say has played a part in my education). So I intend to do something in those lines, maybe start an education institution.

5) Travelling and photography:- This is something which I want to do, explore the world. Of course it will help if I can someone who is willing to travel along with me 😉 I love taking photos( does it really matter how good or bad I really am 😛 ) ,so yes hopefully I can shoot something worth while.

6) Designing:- Maybe not my natural forte, but then again, I like trying to do creative things 🙂 SO hopefully I can get to do some serious designing.

7) Music:- Well want to concentrate more on violin and tabla 😛 Music is magic. Whether you listen or play, it does take you on a wonderful ride 🙂

8) Nothing:- Discover how people can do “nothing” and from there learn more about the human mind 😛

9) Languages:- I want to learn Sanskrit and Latin 🙂 These two because, I want to read for myself, how our ancestors thought.  Much has been derived from what’s written in these two languages and I would like to read and find out for myself 🙂

10) Football:- This is something which very dear to me, Second only to writing. The game’s got something about it. Who knows maybe I can own a team in the future? 😛

11) Carpe Diem:- Of all the above thing, this is the one. 😀 😉

Anyway hopefully the future holds something good 🙂 I never write down my ambitions, goals etc, some how hate seeing them on paper. These things form a very small fraction of what I want to do. But then achieving  is not merely having the desire, but then having the ability to fulfil your desires.

I like to think that the future is going to hold what I want it to hold. And yes, I avoided, talking about love, rather deliberately 😉  We will see 🙂 And now I pass on this tag to:-

So Apar has given these questions to answer.This isn’t a proper tag,so the title isn’t “tagged”.So let me get the rules out of the way(they explain why this isn’t a proper tag 😛 {and I am not breaking the rules this time,at least not yet} [ :P] )

Now the wonderful questions 😉 

 

1. What do you mean by your tag line “the light shines the brightest”?

So someone asks me at last! I will try to keep this simple…

Even when you are in absolute darkness,you can see..now that is becuase there is light and it “shines”. Anywhere and everywhere in the universe,there is light(ya well the black holes,too need light to prove their presence). The brightest light is what we will be able to see(of course the brightest will be relative). And also light is what we all derive our food from. And light is the true omnipresent in the world. In a more personal level,we all are guided by the inner voice or self or light. This is what prompts us to act and question and interpret the world.I can call this pure instinct but the reason why I call this the light is becuase for a lot of reasons..And also where there is light there is a source…What do think about it? I would need a “loooooong post” to write about this anyway what do think “the light shines the brightest” can mean?

 

2. What do your smileys mean in your comments?

It is as I have said depends on comment to comment/post to post. It might mean I sympathise/empathise/agree with you(in case of 🙂 ) In case it is a ( 😛 ) then in means I think that is got a touch of humor and I agree with you 🙂 And of course the 😀 . I like to use smileys becuase when you see it,at least within you start smiling 🙂 

3. What inspires you to write your long poems?

Everything and anything. It is what I see and what I feel that inspires me.That is what inspires to compose,write etc,my forte is poems.And also the Light shines the brightest 🙂

 

4. There are those who have called you crazy/weird. How do you handle this? 

I am used it 🙂 No actually I like to call myself crazy(and so my email Id would tell you). After all insanity is the heat of mankind.Almost everyone whom I meet tells me I am weird/crazy , a few understand what I really am,A few don’t.Being crazy doesn’t mean you have to be locked up,what it means is that you are capable of things which others aren’t.

                                                    (or) {she revised the question,but I am answering both 😉 }

4. You always seem to be online and manage to do one post a day. You also are involved in YU. How do you manage to study for your all important board exams?

I am always online because my comp is always on 😉 Ya well I started YU! 😛 And I prefer to study during the night.What I supposed to do,lock myself ? I am not that sort of a person,I cannot see life as something where we torture ourselves,I like to enjoy life,if i don’t enjoy something,I can’t do it….so I try to enjoy studies as well…

5. When do you intend to turn up for bloggers’ meets? Where would you like your first meet to be?

Once my boards are over 😉 Hmm..on Mt.Everest 😛 Seriously speaking no clue,I will turn up one day,just wait 🙂

An award and A question

Nita has given me the garland award 🙂 putting a garland around a persons neck,is considered a way of giving respect. If you watch travel channels’ shows,you will see people being welcome that way.

Leaders usually are given garlands,but you don’t hang a garland on the photo of a person who is alive.Tamil cinemas are known to show couples getting married in registrar’s office,by exchanging garlands and than the signatures.Of course,you can also aquire a garland by putting Rs.200 at least on the temple priests’ “plate”.

She say’s she gave me(and two others ) because 

 

To me these blogs are like garlands, not just attractive, but also those which give off very positive vibes. 

So now I get put this virtual garland on various bloggers.Now this is tough,anyway the garland goes to:-

–Amit(He would make a good politician,if his oratory skills are as good as his posts).

–Reema(Nita also has given her this but still,I like the way she keeps it simple..hmm…Reemavathi(?) )

Now to another thing which I noticed , about the forgetful(amnesia) incident,all the blogs went on and on about it.I normally would have written about the thing,but decided not to,till now.

So before I go anywhere,as close as writting a post about it,I want a clarification,

All the while no one noticed where the man with the beard had disappeared. But like the character he used to play,he appeared at the most inappropriate time, just like the police does in movies,just like celebrities make comments, just like CEOs who are on a holiday now. 

The king was stratled by the man’s arrival.

“My, what timing! Can’t you ever take a coach out of our Railways? ”

“OH! Thondi raja,but it is time to warn you! Everything comes at a price! Oh! wise king, importing Ferrari means you have to pay duties, owing a billion dollar company means,you have to pay bribes; To kick people into the Bay of Thondi,you need to buy pink boots and to read fruity you need a blog! ,the Sambar Magic has a side effect!”

“Side effect? What oh! is this a wonder drug,used by Olympic sprinters? Or is this the beer served at Amnesia,Manglore? ”

“Neither.You will not be caught in any test or in camera,but you are safe as you have this wonder lady beside you!”

“What is it then,save me time will you? Just because dams are full doesn’t mean you can waste ! ”

“Debatable,purly debatable! But well  I will save you time,as I have to go and lead a protest,you shall become a monster for a few hours! And at that time you need to be under control,other wise,well didn’t I tell you Bush used it?”

“Oh! BY my thondi,why didn’t you tell me earlier? When will this be? When Roadies runs on MTV? Or when I read Indian Homemaker? 

“Hmm..it will happen,whenever,the earth is at a particular place when it is spinning.You will need a special watch, for which you will have to travel through the Sambar world and find a sage,with a transparent beard and listen to the longest Soliloquy by him.

“You have sometime though,I just recieved the time for the next phase of sambar monster madness. It is actually a puzzle,it reads,

” SMSes are short,

MNS is a blot,

Businesses are caught,

Seats are bought,

Time for a simple thought,

You voice shall play a part,

But better think twice,before you tie the knot.”

”

“Waa,waa! Thats a wonderful sage! I need to find him,Ha my fine man,it is dark,let me begin tomorrow.”

“Ha my king,here have the message ,you will need it.Contact me through my twitter,I just added you.Bye!

“Zookie ZA!”

 

And the sage disappeared.he turned to the lady.

“You need me to drop you home,my fine lady? Shall I summon my Hummer?”

“Oh! king,not to worry,Thondi is the safest place!You have done a wonderful job in admin! People are all scared that they would have to face your wrath,if they commit a crime! I can drink and I can dance and no one shall dare come near me! Anyway bye!

“Zookie Za!”

“Wait!OMG! whats with these people!They…wait a second,she too is from the Sambar world! My guess this is the real second life! I should learn it!! Oh! wind!Oh! sea..na I am supposed to be clever right? Let me see..

“Which blogger is the best..no tough question…what is my fav car? Tough question…which is better Orkut or Facebook? Facebook,easy question..Something tougher..”

And so the king was left all alone,in the dark dark world.He tries to test his newly acquired intellegence like a F1 driver tests his car.And as the wii hours came about,he decided to walk to the palace and then play in his PS3.

He then remembers about the message,he took out the message and read it.

 “SMSes are short,

MNS is a blot,

Businesses are caught,

Seats are bought,

Time for a simple thought,

You voice shall play a part,

But better think twice,before you tie the knot.”

 “Ha such delicate rime! I need to meet the transparent sage! But all these references to …wah! Eureka! I got it,I got it!”

And the king started spriting.Now being fat doesn’t help,so after the first few steps,he stops and starts panting,he takes out his mobile,tries to start google,but fails.

“Oh! Great ancestors,how can I maintain my Thondi and search in the world of Sambar? ”

And the sambar magic took effect again,from no where appeared a supervech-Jet log m,small ,petite and at the same time strong,all the way from Japan!

The got on to it! It had a code written on it and he spake the word into the holy microphone on it! And  by the time ,his thondi infalted and defalted for a gasp,he was inside his chamber.

He ran on to the comp.The internet on his phone had given him problems,he told him self it was time to get 3G ;He first checked his blog hits,than his orkut slaps(And he promptly sent Bush a Boot) and then his Yahoo! Mail and he then landed up in google.He typed..
