Seems like I am stuck in ’08.But after all,it was the year when I moved to wordpress and started YU! .Before I start seeing towards the top left corner,I got another award 🙂

Shut up,please!

first let me start with a big thanks to all the news channels for covering the Mumbai Terror attacks,without you people,we all would be ignorant of the lapse in our security,what really happened(even though a few speculations few around,but I forgive you for that and also for not reporting all those people who died  and lost their homes thanks to the cyclone) and the true heros and the zeros.Now ,please shut up!

Yes we are angry.But what is the use of getting more and more people to talk,talk and talk more? This is getting blase.Are they trying to gain more TRPs? The best part is no speaker gets to make his/her point clearly.I think we all need to give the government time .What action do we expect the government to take? Bomb the country the terrorists came from? So for a while let us watch and listen,enough of  all this hullabaloo.I too am pissed off by such an action,but “let us act like civilised people” (yes act,are we all civilized?) and watch for a while.

And I had this interesting question,

Hanuman set fire to Lanka,why isn’t that terrorism?

And no i am not promoting terrorism(if you think I am,then read my poems,and FYI,i don’t even crush the mosquitoes,so)It is just a question which poped up.If you don’t want to use your name,you can always use Anon,but yes I am looking forward to answers on this one.

Thoughts on Terrorism

Enough is Enough! Yes we say this again and again. The inital reaction has now subdued and it is replaced by more sensibile thoughts,by whoever is capable of such.

First before I get into the whole saga and try to put my sagacity to some use,let me first salute,those Men who gave their lives for saving many other.While we can be  skeptic and claim that they were just doing their duty,that in it self is something great.I am not so sure,I would have sacrifised my life for the sake of others.Hemanth Karkare, was under pressure and received SMS threats ,but still he went in and fought the terrorists,even while his intergrity was questioned. Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Havaldar Gajendra Singh and the other police and special forces officers and the staff of the hotel who helped save people also died fighting the scoundrels and they are the heroes of today.For a nation,which is so politically and religiously complicated,we all salute these men,without whom terror might have ceased the economy.

And ask me to name these people a week or a month from today,i don’t i will remember.That is always the problem,we all say so much,all of us blame and point fingers,yet we all forget.After all immaterial of whether we are from the mango selling class or the Taj class ,we have our business to do.We will be bothered about terror and the ugly reality of human goodness not being a whole some reality only when our own valued lives are threated.There is nothing wrong with that too.

In a way,this is our defence mechanism.Yet this attack will be remembered by us,for such action is not blase ,this is fresh and it has hit,the rich,the people who make India.The media which usually is more bothered about an actress sneezing or if an actor is wearing a pink shirt or concentrating on cricketers for a change had some real NEWS.At last the NEWS channel had their use,albeit,all of them showing the same thing.Popular NEWS anchors were rushed in and even NISHA(for those ignorant people,it is the name of the cyclone which cycled over Tamil Nadu) was forgotten with the rest of the celebrities as operation Cyclone went on.

We all were agape at the site of the Taj hotel burning.”A thing of beauty is a joy forever” and yet such beauty was smeared with such sinister force that you wonder “is this reailty?”.Even as rain swalloed our streets here in Chennai,we all watched the vice humans and the various forces battle it out.After all Mumbai is the financial capital of India.For a moment all of us forgot the communal divide which someone was trying to enforce upon us.We all watched as an intergrated force,fought the terrorists who had come here to die and blow up an icon of India.As smoke and fire spread through the Taj and the internal structure was vanadalized we were taken by an eerie thought-is this what happens to the Business India? 

The battle has ceased to be religious,it is now the developed and modern against the retarded and mideval minds who want to own our world.At the same time,the terrorists who died are not the devil himself.They were mere pawns in the game,who were comanded and sacrifised by a much larger force.

By attacking an icon and entering through the gateway of India,those unscrupulous beings have mocked the nation.And our soveregnity was preserved and shall be.For once,the politicians have not been able to play their games.For once we question them and for once they are answerable to us.

And as more and more clues regarding the affiliation of the terrorists to various international orgainzations are found,what are going to do? Since the media has branded this as India’s 9/11,are we going to go out and blow another nation? Of course that is not going to help,this attack has proven that.Cutting a branch is only going to help the tree grow better.What we need to do,is cut the tree at its base and then make sure we utilize it properly.

What we are facing ,are groups who are ready to die.And fear is their weapon.If  an other nation has an hand in this,then it time to end this for once and all,but then at what cost?

First let us see the face of the enemy and not fight something which has no proper form.We need to get the people who are behind these attacks and make them responsible for all this.They should be made to work and manually replace every inch of a building.They should be made to understand how much it takes to build those buildings.These people are no idiots of of course,they know what they are doing.

They should have a cause,so to them let us say ,we want to hear what is their cause.But no cause is so great that you should kill so many people.This is not a question of fighting fire with fire.In the end we shall all be burnt in our own,which these people anyway are willing to do.

We have to respond though, but how?The problem is there is no thrid persons view here.We are all in it.We need to think from outside. 

We need to make those cowards come out and fight face to face and take responsbility,that is of course if anything human is left in them.Whatever happens,weeds will always be there in a garden.But among humans,the difference between a weed and a useful plant is how a person’s mind is lead.So let us make sure we do not give space for more terrorists to be born.And to those existing-lantena is a weed,but it is still grow as a ornomental flowers.But if these are not humans but only useless weeds,sorry its time to cull.

601,250 and 40,000-stats and questions

This is my 601th post.

The next poem,will be the 250th i write in my blog.

i will be crossing 40,000 hits(mostly would have by the time you come here to comment,see the sidebar).

So that is a lot of number and stat crunching 🙂 And talking about stats my blog has been hit by the recessions too 🙂 But i am sure,i will recover before the economies do(all it takes,is a couple of movie reviews and it will be jumping again).

So 600 posts,seems a lot,doesn’t it.Maybe that is why my page rank is 6 🙂

Well yes,i am going write something again.The big village or the global village,is in big trouble.Unfortunately,there are no captain planets here,to do something about it.Ha ya,Captain planet,i remember him,he is an hero,evil things(?) bring down to zero,he is the power….It is something like that na.But then,we need someone don’t we.And what all most of us have got in common?-fingers,yes,really good looking fingers,which can be pointed at others,no it wasn’t me,it was you.Simple,isn’t it?Or well even simpler,there is the middle finger!Wow! 

Why should I care,anyway? Everyone is writing,about a nun who was raped in Orissa.And yes,together,all of have damned it,said that we all are ashamed etc etc.Hmm,great,Hindus ,we are, right? And well those people ,well if we call those things,people,then what are we? It should be either them or ‘us’ who are people.Who should be called people and what should the rest be called? I leave that to you.I can’t find a word for such creatures,who above all,in my eyes,are trying to destroy the very thing they think the represent.Creature is a word,but then creatures are maybe up of some stuff,which makes them realize their value,these things,don’t know their own value.It has come to a stage,where i don’t feel angry any more,why waste my anger on these things?

The government pointed finger at the center and the center at the government and we the citizens,pointed fingers at those who committed the crime and then at the government.And we all wrote and thought and told our neighbours how we feel bad about the whole thing.We then realized all our houses have enough doors and safety latches,and unless,we are going to do a nuke test tomorrow and the Americans decide to invade(their,economy is in trouble!Come on,we know Uncle Bush don’t we? Of course it is going to be Obama,but then,what is the UN for? ) ,we all are safe.We don’t need to worry about our money,our leaders are very good,they rob us,by just taxing us,they don’t try to concentrate wealth,by doing bailouts!And besides,in our country corruption runs in the blood and well stands on the rivers too,patta land,on dry river beds,anyone?

I feel bad,really bad,for those who were affected by the attacks,i vaguely remember reading somewhere,about witch hunts in Europe long ago,guess,someone has been reading some  history,and well bollywood might have had an influence too ,you know,with raping and all,only thing those people get paid and these people don’t get paid.And ya,talking about bollywood,influence,how about kids in primary school using words such as FUCK and taking about sex etc? No i am not talking about censorship,at least someone tell them things properly!

And oh! where are the police,i mean the moral police? (we all know where the police,don’t we? ) Where are they,come on tell them to get out into the streets and correct these people! Come on you are the ones who claim ,we need to preserve our culture right? Or are these people really saving our culture? Great isn’t it? Oh!Krishna,Rama,govinda,and all the sundry Gods, let us call them,shall we?Let us ask them.the reason why we need to ask them,is because we don’t understand what they said,it was too complicated.It doesn’t matter whether we need sex education or not,now that we have the news channels to show us,we need to have sense education,you know just tell those,idiots,that they are contradicting themselves too much.And oh!in between maybe we should get those great leaders,behind Bajrang Dal or Vishwa Hindu Parishad,to promote the use of condoms,at least,the government can save some money,on the advertisements.But i guess,then that money too would be sent to their Swiss banks accounts,who knows.

Well all is not bad,in the country as of today.The Tata’s pulled out of Bengal,now the lady behind this has supposedly had a victory ,might be the state governments told her to do it,you know,it would show the poor infrastructure,if the Nano comes,but then,don’t they see that they can make more money? More bridges will be needed and they all would get their cut.

And what is at the base of all these problems in the country? Justice is lacking,hmm…oh! of course our judiciary! Oh,my I remember reading so much of it,in school! Isn’t our constitution the third classic we have given to the world? And maybe that is the reason most people don’t know the law,who has time for classics? Maybe you can make a movie out of it!It has it all,who would you like to see acting in the movie? 

And before I end all this,Shouldn’t we do something about all this? We all are writing and writing and we might make a new classic out of what we bloggers have written i guess,but then we should do something! If each and everyone of us,can just say a big NO,collectively,can’t we get more and more people to join us and actually get some kind of order ? Why should we keep quite? They get the media,they get the cameras,but we have a voice,too,we are not nobodies,why can’t we stand firm and show them,that they are destroying our country!Can’t we do this much for ourselves? We all see a grim picture when we think about the future,then why aren’t we ready to change it all! We got our freedom(?) at midnight,now the night is over,it is day ,so wake up and do it for yourself and your future.

The time is 12,midnight.All in alone in a huge car,you are on a very very dark highway.your only source of comfort is the headlight of your car.You see that the road is empty and you start going faster and faster.You dream of that pretty girl and wish that she was with you.But you know,she hates you .You then try to think of something else.You think about those people,in those old times,when there were no cars,you think how peaceful they were and then you think about you great,great ,great,great,great,great,great,great grand father,whose grand father might have been Adam or Kuppusami or Sri Sri Bigthondiyananda(thondi=stomach) or some Ramarangarajaraja thiru Nayana Srinivasa chari and the fact that he had about 2 dozen kids,who further went on to enhance the population by another dozen or so each.You then think,where all those people might be.If they still had the traditional value,of saying vango,pongo or bingo or if they still found veshti confortable or if they ever knew Sandyavanam(your version being-To whom so ever it concers,my name is this,my father name is this,if you don’t know me get lost,if you know me,you know the rest already,so spare me the trouble,i can’t remember that between intergration and all that stuff) .You then think,how much you have evolved.You don’t sport the big stomach,you don’t have 3 kids,infact you still haven’t even found a girl(that great to the power whatever had about 5 kids when he was your age!) ,you are supposedly broad minded and you aren’t a hypocrite.Then you consider the fact,that you might get married to only one girl and not to well 2 or 3,like your greats did.You then see some old rocks,which the head light throws light upon and you think of those child hood stories,when big Rakshashas lifted those things and went about destorying stuff,you draw an anology to the present and realize the fact,that even today we had those people,the only thing we lack is the presence of Lord Vishnu(might be garuda is on a vaction,in planet #47437545324 in The universe SDJO4543.) and the other Gods,to save us,they have retired or we haven’t provided them with good infrastructure or they are just holidaying in some other planet,getting tan.Then you see the outline of the a mountain and another story comes to your mind,about Indra cutting the mountains’ wings,you realize that nuclear weapons have the power to destory countries and the world,what an improvement you conclude.You drive on further,still alone.Something walks across the road-another childhood story passes across,ghosts,which stops you and ask you for a ride and then kill you,but your mind refuses to indulge in such stuff and quickly moves on the fact,it was some Idiot,who lacked any sense, walking across,but feeling bored and searching for some comfort you propose to yourself that it might been one of those Rishies who are still alive,walking across.At that your mind returns to thier love life.You push that away,when the thought of Krishna strikes you.The guy with, GOD(he) knows how many wives.You wonder,how he managed to keep so many girls,when you can’t find one.He must have been some guy,with a lot of strength.He was addicted to butter,might be that was the secret(you make a mental note,that you better contact your friend in some weird orgainsation like Sundown Indian Culture Limited,whose findings if published,would put bollywood to shame and for that reason you decide against it).And you think of Rama,funny,that rama preceded krishna,he was the one who saw only one girl,he must be the dream guy,not Krishna,surely? But well you figure,out that even those men in those weird times,couldn’t but help like the idea of going behind so many girls at the same time,that is why they made Krishna come after Rama.And going on to complete the series,you jump to Buddha.He had a kingdom and a wife and a kid,before,going in search of peace.So we are to become like his then?But then that was his purpose.then you question the very existence of everything,what is fiction,what is reality? You are stunned at the fact that life is so complicated.But at least people 50 years back,had the time to grow beards and grow hair and think about such stuff.They lacked motivation? No,they didn’t they always moved on the next level,never staying in one thing.And then you think of your immideate past gen.What have they done,you question? They were once who know how sad wars are,they know the meaning of struggle,but what did they do? They left the country in the hands of sad politicans.You swear it off,you don’t want to think about that now,something fun…something fun..

Suddenly,Something does happen.You lose sense of your self,the wheels move on their own,you lose control,you hear a laughter and you turn to that mantra which gives you comfort and as you resign to fate and faith,you see the sense it all can make,but the force is too great and you just let go.You are awake but don’t know,what is happening.Panic,comfort,security,fear all at the same time.You hear a voice telling,”I am here now” Over come,you let go.Blank.
