Monika has tagged me! And yup, this is the first tag on this blog! What’s more it’s about books and reading! So without much ado, here we go 😀
Favorite childhood book?
The Faraway Tree series by Enid Blyton!
What are you reading right now?
Gulliver’s Travels. Am on a mission to read as many classics as possible. One they are cheap and two they are awesome!
Bad book habit?
Er..is lying down on the bed and reading a bad habit? Well that’s how I read 😀
Do you have an e-reader?
Thought about it, but it isn’t too cost effective is it? And I love the feel of books.
Do you prefer to read one book at a time or several at once?
One book at a time. Very very rarely, do I read more than one at a time. This is because I like to be ‘under the spell’ of a book. Reading too many things leaves me confused.
Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?
Yes. I push myself to read more so that I can write reviews 🙂
Least favorite book you read this year (so far)?
I drop the book if I don’t like it, so can’t say read completely. But yes, didn’t like Theodore Boone much, haven’t finished it, don’t think I will either.
And oh! I forgot Two States! Grr…..no comments.
Favorite book you’ve read this year?
Every book I have reviewed here. If I have to pick one, will say Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, changed my thinking.
How often do you read out of your comfort zone?
Don’t really have a comfort zone. Like reading all sort of books, expect academic. So, if you take academic to be a genre, then, I do read out of my comfort zone 😉 How often? When ever I have exams 🙂
What is your reading comfort zone?
As mentioned above, anything except academic. But would love to read more Sci-fi. Not much of a sci-fi fan.

Favorite place to read?

I don’t usually lend. None of friends are great readers and well if I were to lend- no dogears, no writing on pages and you should take care of it like a kohinoor(the diamond I mean 😉 )
Do you ever dog-ear books?
😐 :O Do you? If you do, don’t talk to me 😐
Do you ever write in the margins of your books?
Not even with text books?
Used to in school textbooks. Boy, they were specimens. Used to sketch, write, scribble etc. Pity, I don’t have any of ’em to show people 😉
What is your favorite language to read in?

What makes you love a book?
Every book is a journey. At the end of it, you are better person.
What will inspire you to recommend a book?
I recommend most books which I read. The reason being that each and every book I read has an influence on me. I’m very picky in choosing what I read, so most of them are worth it! 🙂
None is particular. Will say everything expect Sci-fi and Biographies and Autobiographies. That said, Jules Verne is one of my all time favourites.
Genre you rarely read (but wish you did?)
I don’t read biographies or autobiographies. Gave Mein Kampf a shot, but couldn’t finish it.

Er..I don’t really care. I don’t read critical reviews and analysis. I judge for myself. So no clue what the critics think.
How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews?
I don’t write negative reviews. If I don’t like the book, I won’t review it.
