OH! words fail,
hail! OH! hail!
You are the sign of day!
I call out to thee,
something far away and free,
who lends life, till my eyes can see.
Everyday,you keep life,
and everyday you rise and dive,
behind those curtains,we call sky!
and existence you breathe,
knowledge has thought us,that source is thee,
and for that reason,i want to know why me?
You who cause the flowers to bloom,
You without whom,we see doom.
And yet by your same hands,
you cause rotten and barren sands,
And that which was life,
now seems a dream!oh!it is alive!
By some unknown source,
from nowhere you arose!
And though clouds might hide,
You are the one who keeps life!
Every morrow and afternoon,
you spring though and lighten our sorrow,
and on earth, your child,we nest and burrow!
There, somewhere behind,
the curtain of vapors,lined
and blown by winds of wisdom,
who spread to every lee of the kingdom,
you pull the reins of time,
and make me write this rime.
Then after hours of preaching,
you impart yourself to us,by the final setting,
as the world turns dark,on a moonless night,
you give us the strength,to go on with the fight,
When thee exists, you are the right,
And darkness is your shadow’s light.
Someday,some grave might eat you,
but you hold life, like only a few.
Even if another world were to be,
It will never be this sunny.
dawn or dusk,
Life is in your lush-
let the flowers keep their bloom
and humanity end its gloom,
Keep your fire alive,
we are all but naive,
Someday we shall meet,
someday we shall understand your beat,
to you,who keeps life,alive!
The light shines the brightest
